The Hilarious World of Depression is Coming to an End
We’re sorry to say that The Hilarious World of Depression will not be back for another season and American Public Media is ending production of the show.
We know this is hard news, especially with everything that has happened over the last few months. We are beyond grateful for your support over the years. The one bright spot: we’re going to keep episodes up on our feed and our website so you can re-listen to the show whenever you need. We’ve heard from many THWoD-balls that you revisit episodes for insight, for comfort, and to help you feel less alone. We hope these episodes can continue to help you feel a bit better.
It has been an incredible experience for the THWoD team to make this show, build this community, and do our part to promote having frank conversations about mental health. Many of you have commented and written messages sharing how much the show has meant to you and how it inspired you to seek help. Please keep having those conversations. Keep finding your helpers.
For more resources about starting conversations about mental health, visit makeitok.org. If you or anyone you know is in crisis or needs to talk to someone, you can talk with a trained volunteer at the Crisis Text Line by texting the word HOME to 741-741 or by calling the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
Thanks for the laughs and honest talk.
